Digital ID Cards
Should You Offer a Digital ID Card?
Digital ID cards can support your existing plastic cards. Here is a simple guide to help you decide if both options are right for your organisation.
We offer a digital version of your staff ID as a high-quality JPG image. It is designed to work alongside the printed card, not replace it. This gives staff a backup option when needed.
Plastic ID Cards
Printed cards are still the most recognised form of identification. They are worn on-site, easy to check at a glance, and work in almost all environments.
They do not rely on phones or battery life, making them reliable for everyday use.
Digital ID (JPG)
A digital ID is a phone-friendly version of the card. It is useful as a backup or for remote staff who do not need to wear a badge.
Available as an add-on for $1 + GST when ordering physical cards.
Why Choose Plastic
Easy to display, simple for staff to check, and durable for daily use. Works in all environments without relying on technology.
Why Choose Digital
Always available on a phone, no wear and tear, and useful for flexible or remote working environments.
Security Considerations
Digital IDs are suitable for visual identification but do not offer the same security as encoded cards. Most phones are secure with PIN or biometric locks, and files can be hidden if needed.
For access control or higher security use, we recommend printed cards with encoding technology.
